This three-month paid fellowship in London, United Kingdom, is designed to help participants launch or accelerate careers in AI governance, policy, research, and related fields. About the AI Governance Fellowship in UK 2027

The GovAI Seasonal Fellowship provides participants with intensive training, mentorship, networking opportunities, and practical experience in AI governance. Fellows can choose between two tracks:

  • Research Track: Designed for individuals interested in conducting independent AI governance research.
  • Applied Track: Intended for those interested in non-research roles such as communications, policy engagement, operations, events, program management, and related areas.

The fellowship combines project work with seminars, workshops, expert Q&A sessions, and networking events with professionals working at the forefront of AI governance.

Selection Process

The application process consists of three stages:

Stage 1

  • Written application submission.
  • Short automated abstract reasoning assessment (approximately 20 minutes).

Stage 2

  • Paid remote work test.

Stage 3

  • Remote interview.
  • Reference checks.

Final decisions are expected to be communicated in October 2026.
